I say this with a very sad heart....our computer is going into the shop. I know, it's very sad but maybe it will be a quick fix. Don't do anything without me. I will miss you.

Sometimes I feel sorry for my husband. For those of you who don't know me, I'm not what you would call a girly girl. I shower every day and where clean clothes but I don't get into hair, make-up and nails. But something that happened to me today made me realize how rough my hubby has it. While in the shower today I decided to shave my legs. And I don't mean a quick shave, one where I only shave my ankles, a good shave. Past the knee and everything! lol! Anyway, when I'm finally done I spray down the shower and get out. Now here's the part that makes me feel bad for hubby...after I get dressed and go back into the bathroom to finish up, I notice it. The hair. All over the tub. So much it didn't go down and it is just sitting there around the base of the tub. OMG! How long has it been since I shaved......I am thoroughly embarrassed. Poor hubby, not only am I not a girly girl, but I'm a hairy non-girly girl.

I've been having so much fun keeping up with all my buddies blog's that mine kinda went by the wayside! Oops! Let's see....Yesterday was my birthday. I am now 29. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I know I'm not old, but it feels weird to be in the last year of my 20's. I had an awesome birthday though. I did have to work, but only for a while. Then it was off to dinner with my hubby. We went to "Cheeseburger in Paradise". It was very good, everything was a little different, but very good. Then we headed for a "surprise" location.....HOT TUBS!!! It was so awesome, we had a private room that was outside with a fireplace. Lots of kissing and hugging. It was so nice. The kid's got me, or rather Scott got me from the kid's, their newest school pictures framed. They came running in at 7:30 a.m. to show me. It was so cute how excited they were and the gift was so cute!
I think this had to be one of the best birthday's I've ever had.

At Haley's school every grade has an age appropriate language arts program. For example, there are 5 second grade teachers and for part of the day all of the children split up into "ability" groups. Group 1 being the kid's who need a bit more help and the kid's get stronger and stronger up to Group 5. Well...on Monday, my Haley, my first born, my beautiful, talented, wonderful daughter was moved into Group 5! Not that I'm bragging or anything. But seriously, God has blessed her with many talents and I thank Him every day for her.
Then there is my wonderful son who has learned the art of telling a joke. For those of you who don't know my son Ricky is only 5 and he has taken on the tough task of being a comedian. And I am proud to say he is doing very well at it! He asked me the other day..."Why was Piglet looking in the toilet?""He was looking for Poo!" Today it was a more complex joke with movements that he pulled off with flying colors. God has also blessed Ricky with many talents and I thank Him every day for him.
Job is rough as usual, Christmas is on it's way and the retail bus is full speed ahead! Just remember while your out shopping this season that people who work at the store are just that...people!

I have had such a nice weekend. Friday I went on a field trip with my son's kindergarten class. We went to the Kellogg forest for a nature walk then we headed to the Kellogg Dairy farm to learn about where milk comes from and what manure is good for! It was so fun. My group was myself, Ricky and his little friend Paige. She is a little chatter box, at one point she says, "my dad doesn't live with us right now because he has a bad drug problem and he has to live somewhere else til April." Kid's are so honest!
Once school was out Haley, Ricky and I headed to Kishelle's house for dinner. It was so relaxing. Kishelle and I listened to music and talked while the kid's ran around outside. It was very nice.
Saturday started out not as fun with housework and laundry but Scott took some vacation time and got home at 3 so we went to get our pumpkins. We went to Mistee Creek Farms in Shelbyville. We got to go for a hay ride, pick out pumpkins and apples and we got to see more cows and a horse. Then it was out to eat, one of my favorites because I don't have to cook or clean up.
Well, today is Sunday and so far it's been great. The kid's slept in a little bit, it's beautiful outside, the house and laundry are clean, and all I have to do today is get some groceries. Life is good.

If there is one way to drive yourself totally nuts, it's by remodeling. We have taken on the task of remodeling our home. We just purchased our first house and it is wonderful but the painting that the old owner did was a bit...intense. She did a bunch of painting techniques so my son's room looked like it had grass on the walls, my daughter's room is the color of chocolate pudding and my bathroom looks like someone threw up pink and gray. The rest of the house is just right, with neutral paints and simple lines. But we'll eventually take on that too with paint, trim and new carpet. Call us crazy! And your right...we're crazy!

I case anyone missed it in my comments on my last post....check it out! I love my husband!! I often wonder what I did before I met him. He has had to put up with alot to be with me but I'm glad he stuck it out.
Today was my day in kindergarten! Glue, paint, scissors! I loved it! We got to go to for a short walk to watch the Homecoming parade, we got to play games (learning games), paint pictures and we made "Honey Horse" with real yarn hair. It's weird though, instead of the letter people they teach them with zoo phonics. Every letter has an animal like honey horse, inny inchworm. The kid's were teaching me more than I was teaching them. Talk about feeling stupid :)
My "Aunt" Kenny's memorial went well, it was very informal. We talked, laughed and argued. Which is very normal for my family. We had it at my aunt and uncle's house where my grandpa lives so he could be part of it. It was very nice. Thanks to everyone who had a kind word, it means alot.

I had a tough day today guys. First things first, my grandpa fell the other day and broke his leg. I thank God that it wasn't his hip because that can be really bad for older people, but he has a great attitude and I think he is going to be fine. My Aunt's and Uncle's are really rallying around to give him 24 hour care. Secondly, in case you aren't aware, Scott and I are having a bit of difficulty getting pregnant. It's been a little over a year since I've been on birth control and no luck. So I am getting to a point where it is hard for me to see pregnant women, newborns and even pregnancy test commercials. Anyway, today I had to host, along with my mom, a baby shower for my cousins wife. I am very happy for my cousin and his wife but it is hard. I could go on and on about my problems but tonight after I got home my mom calls and tells me, "your grandpa is fine, but your Aunt Carol just called and told me that your "Aunt" Kenny died". Now I don't care what your thought are on gays but my Uncle Paul is gay and his life partner was Kenny. They were some of the happiest people I knew. They loved each other very much and my "Aunt" Kenny was a wonderful person who always had a kind word or a funny joke. I will miss him very much.
Of the subject, but I realized that my name isn't real clear anywhere on my blog. For those of you who don't know, my name is Emily.
Hold those around you tight because you never know when they may be called home.
